Slide milling is the process of customizing the slide of your firearm. “Firearm slide milling is a custom service that mills the slide of your firearm into pre-made designs and cuts,” says Travis Brewer. What is Slide Milling? 

Slide milling is a step in the right direction when it comes to modifying your firearm. Milling the slide of your gun will not only make it unique to you and recognizable even from a distance, but also provides added benefits when using it.

What are the Benefits?

There are a few primary benefits of getting your slides milled. These include overall decreased weight of your firearm, recoil recovery and better aim. These benefits go hand in hand because getting your slide milled decreases its overall weight which results in better performance and aim and better recoil recovery.

When you get your slide milled you are “cutting weight”, or refining the pistol’s profile to eliminate weight. This means your firearm will not cause as much muscle fatigue as it probably did before and allows for a more swift slide return. This is especially true for the Sig P365 and Sig P365XL.
